In the last
few years, there has been an explosion of dance across
Britain - thanks to shows like 'Britain's got Talent’, BBC's
'Strictly Come Dancing' and 'Got to Dance'. Dance is now
second in the most popular form of exercise across Adults
and Children in the WORLD!
Although you might not be the next Darcey Bussell or Ashley Banjo you can still benefit from the social and health benefits that dance can provide. Every style of dance builds stamina, flexibility, strength and coordination. Really importantly - research points to the significant impact that dance can have on illnesses such as diabetes, high blood pressure, Parkinson’s, heart disease, osteoporosis and depression. Dancing provides many other great benefits, such as a conduit for self-expression, improving brain productivity and attention-span, improved confidence and self-esteem, and is great for general fitness!
